When we were looking for our special place in France our criteria was very simple! We wanted to live in beautiful surroundings, be near an historic town with restaurants and shops and also be very near a championship golf course. We believe we found the perfect location in Saint Brice, a beautiful sleepy village on the banks of the Charente river. Surrounded by fields of sunflowers and row after row of vines, we are still only 5 minutes drive from the centre of Cognac. | |

Cognac is a small thriving town with ancient streets, stylish shops, daily market, restaurants and street cafes. Dominated by the world famous brandy houses and surrounded by vineyards it is a superb place for a holiday. Explore the museum, parks and gardens or take a leisurely cruise on the river. |

If you prefer a more relaxing time, walk or cycle along the old towpaths or try your hand at fishing or canoeing. The championship golf course of Cognac is just 3 minutes drive away from Le Mannois with its superb practice facilities, which includes a 4 hole course. It is suitable for all levels of handicap but even the best golfers will enjoy their golf here. Afterwards you can relax in the attractive clubhouse with sun terrace and restaurant |

| Farther afield we are within easy reach of the coastal resorts of Royan, Bordeaux, Rochefort and La Rochelle and there is also Futuroscope at Poitiers with its many attractions.
